Sakari Heikkilä is a singer-songwriter as well as music producer with a diverse musical background. A ”swiss army knife” of music creation with experience in musicianship, songwriting and production. Strong independent music background with DIY-ethic. He has graduated two times, 2008 as a musician/vocalist from Jyväskylä Conservatory, and as a music producer from Metropolia UAS, Helsinki in 2013. He has the capability to analyze and implement elements from any song. Wide musical taste including pop, electronic, alternative and progressive rock, indie, folk and game music. Sakari grew up playing Nintendo and immediately fell in love with Japanese video game music, which has been his lifelong inspiration. He started to sing and write songs for his band at the age of 13, and also began to create electronic music with Impulse Tracker, which was the starting point of his music production path. Sakar has released over 120 songs as a singer-songwriter and music producer but was super excited to explore the endless possibilities of global songwriting as a writer for Sugar House Publishing when joining the team a couple of years ago.
Sakari is now an asked for and experienced topliner for J-pop and K-pop. The Japanese group GENIC released their single WE GOTTA MOVE in Feb 2022. The song was also included in the album Ever Yours. Sakari co-wrote the song with Michael Norris and Christian Martines from Sugar House co-publishing partner Loudboy Music (LA)
and Ryuuki Koike and Joe Nishizawa from Avex Japan.
In March 2023 KINGDOM released the album History Of Kingdome: Pt. VI. Mujin, including the song , ELEMENTS co-written by Sakari with Adam Wolf, Chris Meyer, Kieran Davis, Kim Myeong Kyu and DANN.
